KA
Fiction, Feature Film - IN PRODUCTION
In the 22nd century, KA technology regulates the planet, dividing humanity between biological and bionic bodies. Salabardé, an Angolan immigrant, returns to Portugal, where his daughter Aya works in a theme park. The reunion is tense, revealing different visions of life. Aya, a young bionic woman, has typical middle-class ambitions. She relates to Eli-1, a colleague and bionic like her, sharing past desires and resentments. After an accident, Salabardé’s KA is damaged, leaving it without resources and immersed in bureaucracy. Hope dawns on Aya: join Sun-Ka to restore his KA in exchange for the alienation of memories. Under Eli-2’s guidance, Salabardé faces his traumatic past at Sun-Ka. This journey reframes his ties with Aya and his own existence, shaping a new understanding of love and mortality.
